The University of Florida’s Department of Aging and Geriatric Research is dedicated to making a positive and lasting impact in improving the health and quality of life of older adults.
The Department of Aging and Geriatric Research came into existence in February 2005. From day one, our goal has been to nourish collaboration between various fields relevant to aging and foster the integration of the latest research findings into elderly patient care, research, and education.
Our vision and comprehensive approach, fueled by hard work and an unwavering commitment to the betterment of the health and quality of life of our senior citizens, have led to tremendous successes over the years:
- a new state of the art building, housing Clinical Research activities
- obtaining funding for an impressive number of research studies
- building education programs and training countless of the next generations’ scientists and clinicians, and more.
