The UF Department of Aging’s Clinical Research Division has a number of current and upcoming aging studies available for volunteers.

Gift card compensation is provided for some of the studies, and gas card reimbursement or van transportation for distance travel may be available.

We are currently enrolling participants in the following studies:

A new STudy

AGE

If you are 60 or older and experiencing mild to moderate physical challenges, you may be eligible to participate in the Aged Garlic Extract (AGE) study.

Mind in Motion (65+)


Enrolling adults aged 65+ who report having any physical difficulty walking long distances, climbing stairs, or doing daily chores. The goal is to discover the brain patterns that control walking and memory. Compensation provided.

NEET

This study is exploring exploring how an alternative form of Vitamin B3, in combination with aerobic exercise, can lower systolic blood pressure in adults with hypertension.
For people age 65 or older without an active hypertension medication treatment.

Pepper Registry

The purpose of this research study is to create a registry of volunteers who are interested in taking part in aging-related research. By signing up you may receive newsletters, postcards and other mail informing you of aging-related research at the University of Florida.

PREVENTABLE

A multi-center study for adults 75 years or older to learn if taking a statin could help older adults live well for longer by preventing dementia, disability, or heart disease. A statin is a commonly used drug to lower cholesterol.

Circulating Factors

For adults between 75 and 95 years old. This study seeks to identify novel circulating factors affecting skeletal muscle mass and function in advanced age.

This study aims to create and test smart watches for tracking important health events, including falls and hospitalizations.
