Connecting the Best Minds in Geriatrics and Patient Care

Whether in the clinic or in the lab, we strive to create an environment that encourages students to develop excellence in patient care, clinical research skills, writing fundable research grants proposals and manuscript writing – all with a focus in the area of aging, sarcopenia, prevention, and rehabilitation of disability.

We recruit, select and train talented Junior Scholars and trainees who are committed to integrating knowledge of the advances in the basic sciences to improve clinical interventions for maintaining health and independence of older adults. To optimize the translational aspect of our education, we develop individualized training programs and identify mentors who can bridge basic science and clinical care to match the trainees’ interests.
